EMI to attend Best in the West Drill and Blast Conference
EMI will sponsor and attend the 37th Annual Best in the West Drill and Blast Conference on April 22-24, 2026, in Spearfish, South Dakota. We are looking forward to it!
The annual Best in the West Drill and Blast Conference is an intensive three day event that brings together mining companies, drilling and blasting suppliers, and government agencies. The focus is networking, innovation, safety, and government regulation.
The conference has grown over the past several years to include over 300 registrants and 40 supplier booths. People attend from across the country. Many are employed right here in the region, but don’t be surprised to see some from another country.
The revenue made from the conference goes to fund our aggressive scholarship programs. Currently the Best in the West Conference has provided students from a seven state area over $100,000 in scholarships over the past 20 years.
The highlight of the Best in the West conference is the scholarship benefit auction. All donations made to the scholarship auction help tremendously in the effort of raising scholarship money. If you have an auction item of some value, you are more than welcome to donate it to the auction. This event is a good time had by all.
